The French Open is like the fashion runway of tennis. It’s where the designers showcase the newest tennis fashions on the players that they sponsor.
This year, the Adidas Roland Garros collection is a nod to Parisian style of the past, featuring coordinating muted colors and a tricolor trim. Adding a modern twist to the retro aesthetics, Adidas plays with silhouettes, pleats, cuts and details to create a collection that looks fresh and unique.
Along with its fab fashion statement, the collection is equipped with Adidas’ leading and innovative Clima technologies, including Climachill, which uses ultra-breathable moisture-wicking fabrics and aluminum cooling spheres to keep athletes cool and dry in even the most intense heat.
That being said, here’s who’s wearing Adidas at this year’s French Open, and links so you can purchase this gorgeous collection yourself:
In the men’s collection, Dominic Thiem will be wearing the Adidas Roland Garros Tennis Polo in indigo blue (the color, material and style is different for retail), along with the Roland Garros Tennis Short in white.
Kristina Mladenovic will debut the Roland Garros Tennis Dress in chalk coral that features a pleated hem and tri-coloured detailing consistent across the entire collection. She will also be wearing the Adidas Adizero Ubersonic 3 Clay Tennis Shoe.
Garbine Muguruza And Caroline Wozniacki
Both, the 2-time Grand Slam champion Garbine Muguruza and Australian Open champ Caroline Wozniacki will be hitting the courts at Roland Garros wearing the Adidas by Stella McCartney Barricade Tennis Dress in classic black as well as the Stella McCartney Barricade Boost Tennis Shoes in aero lime and white.
Defending champion Jelena Ostapenko will be wearing the chalk coral Roland Garros Tank with tri-colored details and unique pleated overlay. And though the Adidas press release photos show her wearing the Roland Garros Tennis Shorts in noble indigo, the press release states that she will actually be wearing the Roland Garros Tennis Skort in noble indigo (shown below on Angelique Kerber.)
The Roland Garros Tennis Skort in noble indigo with darted pleats at hem will also be worn by former world No.1 Angelique Kerber, who will combine it with the same-colored version of the Roland Garros Tank.
